A Palace Wedding in Jaipur That Felt Like Home

Three hundred guests in a three hundred year old palace, and somehow it felt like a courtyard wedding at a family home.
Three hundred guests in a three hundred year old palace, and somehow it felt like a courtyard wedding at a family home.
Sana and Vikram achieved the rarest thing in large weddings: warmth at scale.
How They Did It
The palace did the grandeur. The couple refused to add to it. No extra structures, no imported florals fighting the frescoes, no lighting rig battling the chandeliers.
Instead they spent on people. A host for every ten guests. Family recipes flown in with the family cook. A welcome note in every room, handwritten, signed by both of them, three hundred times.
Grandeur is the venue's job. Warmth is the couple's.
The Moment
At the vidaai, the palace staff lined the corridor with candles. Nobody had asked them to. That is what happens when a wedding treats every person on site like a guest.
